The camera and depth sensor in Shapewatch are able to quickly and accurately scan what they see, but despite this our technology stops short of being able to see through clothing. Consequently, whatever you wear during your scan will be replicated in the results you receive from Shapewatch.
For the most accurate results, users should wear tight fitting clothes that provide a better outline of their body shape, which will result in more accurate measurements and 3D avatars that more closely resemble the body dimensions of the user. Examples of appropriate clothing would be anything form-fitting, such as athletic base-layers, leggings, tight-fitted t-shirts, and even under-garments where appropriate to do so.
Wearing loose or baggy clothing, including tops and shorts, will make it harder for Shapewatch to see the shape of the user's body which will have result in higher measurements and avatars that do not resemble the user.
For consistency of results between scans, users should wear the same clothes for repeat scans, or at the very least the same style of clothing.
